I designed each character as well as their respective cover illustration with a dark and bloody approach. I chose to redesign classic children stories to juxtapose their lighthearted tale with my gory aesthetic. Each of my design draws inspiration from a dark component from their original story that I exaggerated. For example, In Hansel and Gretel, instead of eating the house made of candy, they eat each other. Little Red Riding Hood is prepared to battle the wolf, and Alice becomes demented and psychotic just like the world she enters.
